Quantum teleportation

This time it didn’t involve a person and a fly, nor did it involve FICTION!

Here’s the link:

And here’s the TL;DR

Using the magical and mystical theory of quantum entanglement, scientists Dr Arkady Fedorov, Dr Matthias Baur and team from UQ’s ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems and the School of Mathematics and Physics (we’re already too long, with threat of leaving) essentially teleported information from one side of an electronic chip to the other. So, why should you care?

Well, this may not be as exciting as Star Trek beaming, but it is pretty incredible when you consider the fact that entanglement transfers information between two objects instantly. This isn’t dialup, 3G, 4G, highspeed, or even a T1 speed. This is instant.┬áThis could potentially and dramatically change the speed of communications, computer processing, and networking. In fact, that last sentence you just read would be inaccurate because the use of the word “speed” wouldn’t even apply anymore.
